There are so many ways you can join the whanau! CMTA is the RSO, or Regional Sporting Organisation for Touch in the Counties Manukau area.

With that mandate comes a responsibility to work constantly at growing our game in our backyard. We can only do that with the support of our community.

Here are just a few ways you can volunteer your time and talent, and help us grow Counties Touch!


With teams ranging from Under 10’s right through to 55+ we are always looking for new members of our coaching team.

Some grades require a bit more experience than others, but don’t worry – we offer support and training to get you up to scratch in no time!

Through the Touch New Zealand Community Coaching framework, courses are available to help Coaches grow – so if you have ever considered a career in coaching, this is a great place to start!

Give back to the game, and become a touch referee today! An essential part of our sport, If you’re keen to be part of the growth of touch there’s no better way than by becoming a referee!

Refereeing touch is a great way to stay connected to the sport, as well as keeping fit and having lots of fun. You don’t need any experience to begin refereeing – just a willingness to learn and a great attitude!
