U15-U17 Boys and Girls path ways in Touch.
TNZ U15-U17 Age Group National Tournament
TNZ has had in place an age grade national tournament for regional teams for the past 3 years in the age groups under 15 boys & girls and under 17 boys & girls. This coming season (2009-2010) the tournament has been expanded to enable provincial teams to enter directly.
TNZ NZ U15 & U17 Boys and girls teams
2009-2010 season will see the first selection of under 15 and under17 boys and girls NZ teams respectively. These teams will make up part of the development player programme within the Elite player structure programme. Player selections will be made from the TNZ U15 & U17 national tournament only.
TNZ U15/17 Development Tour
The 2009-2010 season will see the exciting establishment of NZ U15 & 17 boys and girls teams which will participate in a development tour to Australia in 2010. The aim of the tour is to expose youth players to the differing style of Australian play whilst providing a touring group experience. Player selection will occur at the TNZ U15/17 age grade Nationals in March.
TNZ U19 2010-2011
NZ U19 boys, girls & mixed teams will be selected at the upcoming 2010 National tournament to participate in the January 2011 Trans-Tasman test series against Australia. The squads selected will participate in camps at Queen’s Birthday 2010, Labour weekend 2010 to determine final player selections with the final teams travelling to Australia January 2011 ( date to be confirmed)
